Online booking platform Pembee has released a new integration that allows parents to use their Tax-Free Childcare accounts directly during the booking process — simplifying payments for childcare and activity sessions.
This enhancement connects directly with HMRC’s platform, enabling instant and secure transactions. Parents can now pay without entering lengthy reference codes or waiting for confirmation, making the process stress-free.
Previously, providers had to manually reconcile payments or follow up on missing transfers. Pembee’s system takes care of that automatically, linking each payment to the correct booking and reducing back-office work.
Parents benefit from a quicker, easier checkout and no longer need to notify providers separately. With fewer steps involved, the entire experience becomes more reliable and user-friendly.
There are no additional fees tied to using the feature. Providers receive the full value of the Tax-Free Childcare payment, helping them manage costs and pass on savings to families — a core part of Pembee’s commitment to accessible childcare.
While the scheme itself is highly beneficial, its adoption has been hindered by clunky processes. By removing these friction points, Pembee is encouraging more families to use their government support with ease.
