These billionaires, footballers and stars take this long to afford UK’s most popular used car

Reports have revealed the Ford Fiesta as the most popular used car in the UK in 2021.

With an average price tag of £12,000, the Fiesta model might be costly for the average Joe, but how about for some of the world’s highest-paid people?

Commissioned by Macklin Motors, the research looked at how fast the wealthy would need to pay for the UK’s most popular used car.

Billionaires

According to the research, the richest man in the world, Elon Musk, takes the shortest time to earn a Fiesta – just 1.84 seconds. It analyzed his estimated earnings; £6,588 per second, or nearly £24 million per hour!

Following right behind is Jeff Bezos, who needs just 8 seconds to pay for a Fiesta. He earns £1,496 per second and about £5.4 million per hour.

Other billionaires include Bernard Arnault, who needs 12.23 seconds to purchase a Fiesta with estimated earnings at £989 per second, Larry Ellison requires 15.21 seconds earning £795 per second, and Mark Zuckerberg follows with 31.79 seconds to buy a Fiesta and has earnings of £381 per second.

Larry Page takes 32.13 seconds to afford a Fiesta with earnings estimated at £376. Sergey Brin will take 38.90 seconds and has an estimated earning of £311.

Warren Buffett can own a Fiesta in 47.68 seconds and has estimated earnings of £254. Bill Gates can get a Fiesta in 48.35 seconds and earns £250. Finally, Steve Ballmer can purchase a Fiesta in 835.29 seconds with estimated earnings of £14 per second.

Footballers

The top-earning football players are Ronaldo, Messi, and Neymar Jr.

They need just 1hr 10mins, 1hr 20mins, and 1hr 30mins, respectively, to afford a Fiesta. Their estimated earnings of around £176, £155, and £134 per minute.

Kylian Mbappe, Mohamed Salah, and Robert Lewandowski will require 200 minutes, 209 minutes, and 245 minutes to purchase a Fiesta. These footballers have estimated earnings of £60.47, £57.66, and £49.22 per minute.

Sports stars like Andres Iniesta, Paul Pogba, Gareth Bale, and Eden Hazard can afford to buy a Fiesta in 245 minutes, 252 minutes, 252 minutes, and 296 minutes respectively. Their estimated earnings are £49.22, £47.81, £47.81, and £40.78 per minute.

Film stars

Matthew McConaughey has estimated hourly earnings from £8k. He needs only 1hr 30mins to drive a used Fiesta. Scarlett Johansson requires just over 2hr 30mins and Paul Rudd (3hr 30mins).

Will Smith can afford a Fiesta in over 3hr 30 mins, Lady Gaga in nearly 4 hours, Keanu Reeves in just over 10 hours, and Reese Witherspoon in over 14hr 30mins.

Another star Benedict Cumberbatch, needs over 28hr 30mins, Ralph Fiennes nearly 30 hours, and Tom Holland over 47hr 30mins.
